Why Have it Framed?
Well, good framing not only presents the artwork at it’s best but also protects it. As well as pictures we frame needlework and fabrics, medals, montage of photographs, three dimensional objects, football shirts. In fact if you can carry it we can probably frame it.
Framing to a recognised standard
Maws Gallery is a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild and all framing is done in our own workshop under the direction of Guild Commended Framers.
We pride ourselves on our quality of work, expert advice and can often do jobs that have beaten others.
Framing is completed to the standards recommended by the Fine Art Trade Guild.
There are five specifications ranging from
1. BASIC ‘no frills’ through to 5. MUSEUM – the ultimate.
Framing to a defined standard means we offer:
- a consistent benchmark
- a specification which suits both the artwork and the customers budget.
- a guarantee of work properly done.
You will receive expert advice regarding the design, colour and style of framing which will suit your particular artwork. If price is a major factor it is often possible to select from our wide range of ready made frames, discontinued mouldings and even clip frames.
We aim to have all sizes of ready made frames available at all times. Our normal turnaround on framing jobs is two weeks but framing can usually be completed quicker (often the same day) to meet customers deadlines.
