Artwork, properly framed should give many decades of lasting pleasure.
If your art work has any value (tangible or sentimental) it is probably worth being protected and put on display.
Some framed items only need a limited lifespan (e.g. annual school photo’s or fire certificates). These can be framed less expensively.
You have a choice. Buy a ready made frame, or even a clip frame, and do it yourself or go to a frame shop and have it done professionally.
A ready made frame is usually adequate for temporary display, or inexpensive and replaceable artwork. See page 10 to be sure the ‘readymade’ will be adequate for the job.
Items of value, or a centre piece of decoration, will probably benefit from ‘bespoke’ framing.
